About the Faculty: BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH – Christina E. Shalley
Chris teaches courses in Bargaining and Negotiation, Human Resource Management, and Organizational Behavior, and has been the recipient of a number of teaching awards. Chris has been actively involved in the Georgia Tech College of Management College’s executive education courses, conducting sessions on such topics as negotiation and conflict resolution, communication, employment legislation, and other human resource management issues. Chris’ research interests include examining the effects of various contextual factors in enhancing or stifling employees' creativity, ways to structure jobs and the work environment to support creativity and innovation, and investigating the prioritization of multiple goals for different performance outcomes. Her work has appeared in various academic journals including Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Creativity Research Journal, Journal of Applied Psychology, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, and Research in Personnel and Human Resource Management. The practitioner outlets that she has published in include, the Academy of Management Executive and R&D Innovator. |
